Is this a pro Obama post? I see it reflecting negatively. I mean an extra $25 per paycheck for the lowest income group hardly reflects the Robin Hood persona he tries to emit.

The argument on the right, I guess, is tax cuts for high earners, and middle income earners(you see those cuts are basically the same), help build economy. I know, hard to make that argument right now with the turmoil on Wall Street, but that was more of the irresponsibility of the private sector.

interesting comments!

what is the definition of middle class? mccain famously suggested 5 million as the cutoff point between middle class & rich. that’s obviously ridiculously out of touch. the distribution of wealth in this country is embarrassing & devastating. obama will cut taxes for 95% of the population, and moreso than mccain for anyone making $112,000 or less. that’s the vast majority of people, many of whom are struggling more now than any time in recent history.

greed, wealth, power and deregulation have led us to the current shambles of the economy. we’re all better off when we’re all better off. bush has gotten us deep into this mess and wouldn’t you know, mccain and the republicans have disowned him completely.

above all, the point of my post was to illustrate that obama proposes tax cuts for the majority, a point of fact which mccain has been repeatedly LYING about in his campaign. not to equate him with robin hood or anything.

btw, thanks for the comments!
